Climate on holiday in the Canary Islands — The best time to visit the islands

The Canary Islands off the coast of Africa are also known as the islands of eternal spring. You can sunbathe on Fuerteventura and, of course, on the other islands from as early as March/April. Fine sand and a refreshing breeze await you on Fuerteventura.

Together with Lanzarote, Fuerteventura has the lowest rainfall within the archipelago. The sun almost always shines in the southern parts of the island, while the north-east of the island can experience moderate rainfall during the winter months. The steady north-easterly trade wind provides a constant light breeze. This can be particularly cool and refreshing on the beaches.

Beach holidays are possible all year round, as the water is always a pleasant temperature of 18 to 24 degrees Celsius. The best time to visit the Canary Islands is both in winter and in summer, as the mild climate is particularly beneficial for all Central Europeans.
