The climate on Fuerteventura is affected by the north-east trade winds. The average daily maximum temperatures range from 23 degrees in January to 33 degrees in July and August. In the summer months, the temperature can even break the 40-degrees-Celsius mark when the wind comes from the south-east and brings both sand dust and high temperatures. The most precipitation falls in December, at just under 40 millimetres. January, March and October can also see increased rainfall in places. The probability of rain during the remaining months is very low. In general, Fuerteventura is an attractive holiday destination all year round.
