        • How much does it cost to rent a car?

        • What does CDW mean when renting a car?

          CDW stands for "Collision Damage Waiver" and is equivalent to partially comprehensive insurance. There is also "Loss Damage Waiver", which means fully comprehensive insurance. Both terms come from the insurance industry and refer to the level of insurance coverage in the case of damage. In Europe, partially comprehensive insurance is always included in a car rental contract. In the event of damage, you will have to pay the excess and not all damage is covered. You also have to book glass and tyre coverage separately.

        • How much is the deposit when renting a car?

          A deposit is obligatory whenever you rent a car. This amount is usually "held" on your credit card and only deducted in the event of damage. The deposit amount depends on the rental agency and the previously agreed excess amount. If you take out a car rental agreement without any excess, the deposit is initially held in the event of damage. After your trip, you can then submit a damage report to the operator and the deposit will be refunded once the case has been reviewed.

        • What should I pay attention to when I want to take a rented vehicle abroad?

          You want to travel abroad with your rented car? Cross-border travel to neighbouring countries must be previously approved and is not always permitted. Please check with the agency which countries you are allowed to travel to with the rented car before you book.

        • Is hotel delivery possible?

          Many operators offer the option of having the rented car delivered to your hotel for an additional fee. It is also possible to return it there at the end. If this option is available, you will see a hotel delivery package listed alongside the standard package.
