Lake Ossiach: exceptional Alpine landscape on the water

Located near Villach, Lake Ossiach exudes Mediterranean charm: The climate at Lake Ossiach is sunny and pleasantly mild year-round. Surrounded by majestic mountains, a lot of green and dense forests, Carinthia’s third-largest lake is a pure pleasure to swim in. The water temperature of Lake Ossiach – which, incidentally, is drinking water purity – rises to 26° C in the summer months. The entire shoreline offers opportunities for taking a dip in the lake. And don’t forget the top-notch water sports activities, ranging from sailing and surfing or SUP to diving. One reason why families and active travellers particularly enjoy this holiday region is the variety of inland activities. When the season for hiking, biking, horseback riding and climbing has come to an end, skiing, sledding and cross-country skiing take over for the winter months. The 760-metre tobogganing track on Lake Ossiach is a popular destination in the warm season.

Tip: Resort holiday at Lake Ossiach

The spacious CLUB LANDSKRON is situated directly at the picturesque Lake Ossiach. In summer, the lake is ideal for swimming, relaxing and water sports. In winter, Club Landskron is the perfect starting point for a winter sports holiday on the ski slopes.

        Austria’s mountains

Austria’s spectacular mountain landscapes draw guests from all over the world during both summer and winter. In the picturesque region of Arlberg on the border of Tyrol and Vorarlberg, winter sports have been a tradition for more than 100 years. Today the “cradle of Alpine skiing” is Austria's most extensive interconnected ski region. In summer, the region unfolds its natural beauty around the headwaters of the river Lech. The wild and romantic Formarinsee Lake was declared “Austria’s most beautiful place” in 2015.

ROBINSON CLUB ALPENROSE ZÜRS is in Zürs am Arlberg, in the midst of the Lech Zürs am Arlberg ski region. The unique ski region, with 305 kilometres of slopes for you to explore, is an international skiing hotspot.

        Carinthia

With Sonnenalpe Nassfeld and the slopes around Bad Kleinkirchheim, Carinthia also offers ideal conditions for the perfect skiing holiday. The state, which is on the south side of the Alps, is also known as the “Tuscany of Austria”. The area around Wörthersee lake has a particularly Mediterranean ambience. On its shores, in the provincial capital of Klagenfurt, visitors can see some of Carinthia’s greatest attractions, including the Lindwurm Fountain and the cathedral. On the outskirts lies the miniature park Minimundus, one of Carinthia’s most popular destinations. If you’re looking for a holiday in the mountains – and preferably with thermal baths in Carinthia – you should head for Hohe Tauern National Park. Another classic among hiking enthusiasts: Hiking in Salzburg State. There you can find a fascinating combination of mountains and lakes, especially in Salzkammergut. The proximity to the city of Mozart means that the natural setting goes hand in hand with culture.

Tip: Resort holiday in Carinthia and Salzburg State.

Resort holiday in Carinthia: Mountains, valleys and lakes all come together to create a unique holiday landscape in the Federal State of Carinthia.
