Travel to the most beautiful places in the world - but with a clear conscience. This wish is top of the list for more and more people when planning their holidays. Sustainability has been on the agenda at ROBINSON for many years. Since then, we have been able to gather extensive experience of modern environmental management and support various social projects.

The topic of sustainability plays a central role when deciding on a travel destination and the type of travel. For example, over 84 per cent of all holidaymakers consider it important to reduce their carbon footprint created by a trip to . However, sustainable tourism is not only aimed at environmental and climate protection. It is also about better social standards for the local population and preserving the local landscape and culture.

Sustainability concerns us all. The great global challenges of our time, such as climate change, scarcity of resources or questions about peace and democracy, require sustainable thinking and action. This applies to each and every one of us, but also in particular to politics and business.

ROBINSON is aware of its responsibility as a global company. That is why we follow our sustainability programme "ROBsponsible" in our resorts worldwide, which combines basic sustainable practices with many small special projects. Activities range from the company's own photovoltaic systems for energy production and involving local partners and suppliers in the turtles protection programme.

Activities at our resorts

The ROBINSON Environmental Officer, the people responsible at our resorts and regular training sessions for our staff ensure that we are constantly making better use of the knowledge we have gained and are able to further expand our commitment to the environment and people.
