A beach wedding

Wedding preparations
To plan your wedding, you’ll coordinate with the on-site Guest Relations Manager before the ceremony. You’ll discuss the ceremony schedule with them, as well as your wishes and any extras for the wedding. The planning meeting can take place on site and must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance. Your dream beach wedding will take the form of a non-religious ceremony. To ensure the marriage is legally recognised in Germany, you will first have a civil wedding in Germany before your beach ceremony. You can get married at the club in complete privacy or bring along plenty of guests to the wedding ceremony. The club director will personally conduct your wedding ceremony inparadise, beneath the palm trees by the sea.

Symbolic wedding ceremony
You will be picked up from your guest room in a buggy and driven to the ceremony, where you will walk in together. Music of your choice will be played as you enter. The General Manager of the club will then give the wedding speech. If you wish, you can also recite your own wedding vows . Finally, you will say “I do”,exchange rings and receive a marriage certificate from the club. This certificate is not an official document. Once the ceremony is over, canapés and champagne are served. If you have booked a photo shoot , this usually takes place afterwards. Afterwards, depending on your booking, you can enjoy a celebratory dinner with your guests in the restaurant and then party in style at the club.

Tips for your wedding in the Maldives
1. Civil marriage: To ensure your wedding in the Maldives is unforgettable and a complete success, there are a few things you should bear in mind. Ideally, you should get married in a civil ceremony in Germany before your wedding in the Maldives. This is because a wedding held solely in the Maldives is not legally valid in Germany. It is best to take your marriage certificate with you to the Maldives so that you can present it at the wedding ceremony there.
2. Early planning: Please alsocontact us well in advance – ideally when you make your booking – so that we can discuss the wedding planning with you and arrange for the necessary staff. Also enquire about how many guests the resort can accommodate and what arrangements can be made on site to ensure you can get married undisturbed and in peace with your guests.
3. Best time to visit: The best time to visit the Maldives is from November to April, as there is no monsoon during this period and the weather is dry. For your dream beach wedding, it is helpful to take this into account and, if possible, schedule your wedding during this time.
4. Managing costs and timing: And one final tip for peace of mind: make sure neither of you is disappointed if some of your close friends and family are unable to attend the wedding in the Maldives due to cost or time constraints.
