The most beautiful travel destinations in Turkey
Turkey is a very diverse holiday destination with mountains, vast plains and more than 7,000 kilometres of coastline. Here are three top destinations in the country.

The lively and cosmopolitan city of Istanbul
The city of Istanbul with its impressive Hagia Sophia and the hustle and bustle of the Grand Bazaar is the perfect place to start your holiday in Turkey. Kids will love the colourful markets, and couples can enjoy romantic strolls through the historic streets.

The marvellous Turkish Riviera
Along the Turkish Riviera, towns such as Side, Belek and Kemer enchant visitors with their fine beaches and picturesque landscapes. Building sandcastles, splashing around and relaxing are great fun at these coastal resorts. In Belek, you can also show off your talent on the exclusive golf courses and follow in the footsteps of history at the ancient theatre in the Temple of Apollo in Side. Turkey's unspoilt nature can be found in the Olympos National Park in Kemer.

The picturesque Turkish Aegean
The Turkish Aegean will delight you with its mix of breathtaking scenery with the Taurus Mountains and dreamy beaches with small bays and crystal-clear water. Cities such as Bodrum, Marmaris or Izmir allow you to immerse yourself in the lively life and experience Turkey up close and authentically. As the region was an important hub for trade in ancient times, you will find a large number of historical sites here today that are always worth a visit.
From hikes to ancient sites: Activities in Turkey
Don't just want to sit back and relax on your holiday in Turkey, but want to get to know the country in all its facets? Then let's get going! Here are some tips for exciting activities in Turkey.

Hike along the Lycian Way
Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy the Lycian Way in Turkey. Around 1.5 hours from Sarigerme, the almost 500 kilometre long hiking trail stretches along the Lycian coast. The route between Fethiye and Antalya takes you past ancient ruins, traditional mountain villages and breathtaking beaches. Hiking offers unforgettable views of the sea and the wildly romantic Taurus Mountains.

Go on a sailing or boat trip
Whether sailing or on a leisurely boat trip, the Turkish coast offers a breathtaking view. Enjoy the sea breeze and the sun's rays on your face with an ice-cold drink. From hidden bays and secluded beaches to popular holiday resorts, you can discover Turkey's treasures by water.

Visit the Manavgat waterfall near Side
The Manavgat waterfall is one of the most spectacular natural sights in the Side region. Take a boat trip on the Manavgat River and marvel at the wide waterfall. Or how about an exuberant picnic? The green surroundings, full of trees and plants, offer plenty of shady spots.

Visit ancient sites such as Aspendos
The well-preserved ancient site of Aspendos is located around 17 kilometres east of Belek. It is famous for its Roman theatre, which seats around 15,000 spectators. If you're lucky, you'll be in Belek during a concert; the theatre is still used for events today. Aspendos is also home to a basilica, an agora, nymphaea and the remains of aqueducts.
The most beautiful beaches in Turkey
In addition to impressive sights and delicious food, holidays in Turkey can boast one thing in particular: fantastic beaches. The choice is large and the days limited. Here are some of our favourites that are well worth a visit:

Enjoy Turkish cuisine on holiday
Turkish cuisine is known for its variety and fresh ingredients. It combines influences from the Orient and the Mediterranean. Typical dishes are savoury with lots of vegetables, pulses, rice and bread. Spices such as cumin, paprika and mint give the dishes an intense flavour. Appetisers such as hummus, stuffed vine leaves and börek are the culinary prelude. The menu continues with fresh fish, seafood, grilled meat, köfte and pide. And for a refreshing drink, try the yoghurt drink Ayran. For a sweet finish, there is the option of baklava accompanied by a Turkish mocha.

The best time to travel to Turkey for a holiday
The climate in Turkey varies greatly depending on the region. Depending on your plans, we recommend travelling at a different time. The best time to go on a club holiday in Turkey is from spring to autumn. Especially in the summer months from June to August, cooling off in temperatures of up to 40 °C is a dream come true. Thanks to the constant sea breeze, however, the heat remains bearable. With pleasant water temperatures of over 20 °C, the bathing season lasts until November. These warm months are also ideal for water sports such as diving, snorkelling, surfing and sailing.
For sightseeing, culture and hiking holidays, we recommend the time between March and June as well as September and November. The temperatures are milder and ideal for discovery tours. Another plus: Accommodation prices are significantly cheaper during this time.
