Passport and visa requirements
To enter Maldives for a vacation up to 3 months all EU, Swiss and Turkish citizens just need a valid passport.
Transfer from/to Malé via Kadhedhoo Island takes approximately 70 minutes by plane and 30 minutes by speedboat. It may be necessary to spend a night on the main island of Malé. After arriving at the international airport in Malé, there is another flight with Maldivian airlines to Kadhedhoo airport, flight time approx. 70 minutes in a Dornier DO 228 small aircraft (17 seats) or a Bombardier Dash-8/200 or 300 (50 seats).
From there, guests will be taken to the club by speedboat (18 spaces); transfer time to ROBINSON CLUB MALDIVES is approx. 25 minutes. The flights to/from Kadhedhoo airport follow the flight schedule for the domestic Maldivian flights, depending on the arrival and departure time in Malé. The waiting time at Malé International Airport for the outward journey is usually around four hours, but may be longer in poor weather conditions. For the return flight, guests are usually picked up around four hours before the international flight from Malé; in some cases, if poor weather conditions are a concern then this pickup time will be earlier.
You can spend your waiting times between outward or return journeys enjoying tea, coffee, soft drinks, small baked goods, local newspapers and Internet access in the business class lounge at Malé International Airport. In extremely poor weather conditions, it may be necessary to spend a night on the main island of Malé.
Please be aware that your entire luggage must be transported on both the transfer flight to Kadhedhoo as well as on the speedboat. For this reason, the maximum luggage allowance is 20 kg (this also applies to customers who are traveling first class, business class or comfort class). It is free to transfer sporting equipment, e.g. diving equipment, with Maldivian and on the speedboat. If possible, excess luggage will be taken along or transported separately (cost: approx. USD 2 per kg of excess luggage).
Day of arrival: daily.
Main day of arrival: Thursday and Sunday (To give you a variety of activities and events while spending your holiday in a ROBINSON resort, the program in the club is managed by the day of arrival.)
